【あらすじ】

江戸、そば屋の源兵衛のもとへ10歳のおかよが現れる。

「兄の最期の言葉——“本当の母がいる”——は本当なの？」

隠されてきたのは、産みの母・房江と、育ての母・お松という二つの“母”。

位牌を胸に、おかよは四ツ谷万年町の米問屋を目指す。

血か、日々のぬくもりか。

大人たちの逡巡と少女の小さな決意が交差するとき、誰のための「母」かが静かに照らし出される。

江戸の灯に似た、やわらかな涙と温もりが残る人情劇。
