【あらすじ】

江戸の町を軽やかに駆ける、駕籠かき兄弟・権左と助十。

ある日、豪商「糸屋」のお嬢様・お糸を乗せた帰り、駕籠に財布の忘れ物が。

弟・助十が届けたことから、お糸は彼にひと目惚れ――のはずが、ひょんな勘違いで「好きになった相手」は兄・権左ということに。

糸屋から縁談の話が持ち込まれ、祝福ムードに沸く長屋。

だが真実が明らかになったとき、兄弟の間に笑いと涙の一騒動が巻き起こる。

人情あり、粋あり、そしてちょっとした芝居っ気あり。

江戸の町を舞台に繰り広げられる、勘違いから始まる兄弟喜劇。

In the bustling streets of Edo, two palanquin-carrying brothers—Gonza, the boisterous elder, and Sukejū, the handsome and kind-hearted younger—make their living ferrying passengers through the city.

One day, they carry Oito, the beautiful daughter of a wealthy merchant.

When she leaves her purse behind, Sukejū personally returns it, catching her heart at first sight.

But through a twist of misheard words, everyone comes to believe that it is Gonza she has fallen for.

Soon, a formal marriage proposal is delivered to the brothers’ tenement.

While Gonza basks in unexpected romantic glory and Sukejū quietly supports him, the truth is destined to come out—and when it does, chaos, laughter, and heartfelt brotherly loyalty take the stage.
