【あらすじ】

大阪・道頓堀。

櫛職人の伊平は、拾った娘・お美江を自分の娘として育ててきた。

口は荒いが情は深い女房気質のお熊がそばにいて、三人はまるで本当の家族のように暮らしている。

そこへ江戸から小間物屋奉公人の清吉がやって来る。櫛の買い付けだけではない。彼は静かに言う——「お美江さんを江戸へ連れて行きたい」。

娘を思う男、男を支える女、そして自分の居場所を見つめる娘。道頓堀と江戸、情と未来、そばにいたい気持ちと幸せになってほしい気持ちが交差し、三人の胸に揺れが走る。

別れることは不幸なのか。それとも、愛のかたちなのか。浪花の川面に灯るのは、たしかなぬくもりと、まだ言葉にならない約束。

Osaka, Dōtonbori.

Ippei is a comb maker who has been raising a girl, Omie, as his own daughter ever since he found her, abandoned under a bridge, seventeen years ago. Watching over them is Okuma — sharp-tongued, big-hearted — and the three of them live almost like a true family.

One day, Seikichi, a shopman from Edo, arrives. He’s not just here to buy fine boxwood combs. Quietly, he makes his plea: “I want to take Omie with me to Edo.”

A man who wants the best for the girl he calls his daughter.

A woman who stands beside him and understands what he can’t say out loud.

A young woman who must decide where her own future lives.

Dōtonbori and Edo. Love and tomorrow. To stay close, or to let someone go so they can be happy.

On the water in Naniwa, what lingers is warmth — and a promise that hasn’t yet found its words.
